Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer, is required to register online for the Recruitment Process. The examination will be held in two phases - preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview.

SBI PO syllabus is split into the following sections:

• English language – questions from the language and skills of reading, writing
• Quantitative aptitude – Maths of class X level
• Reasoning Ability – logical reasoning questions (verbal and non-verbal)
• Current affairs – general knowledge and current events
• Computers – general knowledge of hardware, software
• General/Economy/Banking Awareness – general knowledge and current events
• Data Interpretation - Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc.
