IBPS is the acronym for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, which is the apex body for recruitment, promotion and placement services in Indian public sector undertaking (PSU) banks. Founded in 1975 as a unit of National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), it became an autonomous body in 1984  at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). IBPS conducts the examination for Regional Rural Banks (RRB) to recruit candidates as probationary officers- scale I, II, III and office assistants every year.

IBPS RRB syllabus is split into the following sections:

1. English language – questions from the language and skills of reading, writing
2. Quantitative aptitude – Maths of class X level such as Number Systems, Profit & loss, Work time & distance, Data Interpretation etc.
3. Reasoning Ability – logical reasoning questions (verbal and non-verbal)
4. Computer knowledge – general knowledge of hardware, software, networking, Internet
5. General/Economy/Banking Awareness – general knowledge and current events

IBPS RRB 2020 prelims exam for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants:  September 12-13, 19-20 & 26, 2020

IBPS RRB mains exam Officers Scale I:  October 18, 2020

Single Examination for Officers Scale II & III: October 18, 2020

IBPS RRB mains exam Office Assistant:  October 31, 2020
